“Dilek Işıksel has created her own world with her sea blue, bead blue and turqoise colours. And has non- realistic painting style. Despite using natural elements in her paintings , Isıksel’s works of art can’t be considered realistic. Illustrations and motives which have taken places in people’s memories are exempt from rules in the artist’s paintings and they have assimilated themselves within a free perspective.

Işıksel, who manages to touch on the history of a city and daily life with a lyrical expression in her paintings, is also able to make her audience feel every emotion and vibration that she felt while painting the picture.” Elçin Şener
